Abthorpe is now live with BT Openreach Fibre

Coming through your letterbox this month is the EE promotion of fibre broadband via the BT circuits and fibre stretched from the nearest pole to your property. This is the face of the promotion and on it we have referred each option to notes A,B and C on the following page. Read on!

The prices quoted by EE do not stipulate the VAT position, so one should assume they are totally inclusive of any VAT due.

There is no guarantee that these prices will not go up during or after the contract period.

NONE of the figures indicate what upload speed you will get, so we have searched the web for figures from BT which EE use.

For example, according to BT, Full Fibre 150 guarantees 100Mbps download and 30Mbps upload.

For comparison, Tove Valley Broadband fibre service delivers 2,500Mbps download and 2,500Mbps upload for £180/year with a guarantee of over 2,000Mbps – if your equipment can handle it. There’s no ‘contract period’.

TVB fibre is available in Abthorpe, Wappenham, Slapton, Lois Weedon, Weston and Woodend, and partially available in Helmdon and Bradden. Other areas are covered with fast radio connections. Visit www.tovevalley.com for further information.

Note A
Download speed guaranteed at 100Mbps, upload 30Mbps.
The total you will pay in the 24-month contract period is £731.76 and thereafter, £407.88/year

Note B

The total you will pay in the 24-month contract period is £827.76 and thereafter, £455.88/year

Note C

The total you will pay in the 24-month contract period is £875.76 and thereafter, £479.88/year

ABbA’s service
Download speed guaranteed at 2,000Mbps, upload 2,000Mbps.
There is a £100 membership fee and where it is a new installation, a fee of £90 to pay up-front.
The maximum you will pay in the first 24-month is £550.00 and thereafter, £180.00/year.
Because all properties have their own WiFi problems and requirements vary, ABbA does not supply WiFi routers.
